#10 Wordpress

WordPress is a bloggers dream tool. Now anyone can have their own blog on the web. WordPress is almost instantly recognized by Goolge, making the chances of your blog getting read much better. And now that WordPress is available on the Android platform, you can maintain your blog from virtually anywhere on the planet. WordPress for Android comes in at #10.

#9 Bump

I first saw Bump back when I still had my Iphone (that’s right, I am a recovering I-holic). It was amazing then, and now it is even better. Why, because now you can Bump with Android and I-users alike. That means that some of your data can be shared across the Android and the iphone’s platforms. Just select the information that you want to share, Bump fists with a fellow Bumper, and information is automatically exchanged between users. Very easy to set up, very easy to use. Bump comes in at #9.

#8 iheartradio

I have tried many of the “Radio” apps available in the Android Market. I keep coming back to “iheartradio” as my ONLY radio app. I find this app very clean, it doesn’t chew up battery life, and the channel selections are excellent. If you are like me, and don’t like cluttering your memory with multiple apps to do one job, then iheartradio may be your answer to the Android Radio Player deli-ma. iheartradio comes in at #8.

#7 Mix Zing

MixZing is by far the most advanced music player I have seen to date. It does all of the things that you would expect to see a music player do amazingly well. The ability for this app to gather your Album artwork is top notch. Add to that, MixZing has an intuitive music suggestion feature, and (my favorite) a fully functional Equalizer, and you’ve got the best music player on the Android platform. Not only does the EQ work and work well, but you can save EQ settings per song! Let see you do that on your I-whatever. MixZing comes in at #7.

#6. Rainy Days

How frustrating does getting a simple weather radar map have to be. Until now, I was under the impression that none of the weather guys were ever going to get this. It seems that all of the weather apps try to hide the radar feature from us. There are others that have have a sluggish response or maybe poor graphics. Then, along comes Rainy Days to the rescue. Finally, here is an extremely simple weather radar app that does only one job, and does it well. The fast loading time and snappy animation make this the only weather radar app you will ever want to use. So the next time you hear that a storm is approaching, start Rainy Days and see the storm in real time. Rainy Days comes in at #6.

#5. Memory Booster

Memory Booster is a RAM optimizer for your Android phone. It is unfortunate that Google does not take a more aggressive stance on what apps should do when you exit from them. There are a number of applications for the Android platform that leave unnecessary services and and other tidbits of code in your processors’ memory. After a while these services and processes start to clutter your memory and eventually cause the performance of your phone to slow and sometimes even crash. Memory Booster is an excellent way to recover your memory at the push of a single button. Memory Booster comes in at #5.

#4. Bluetooth File Transfer

Bluetooth File Transfer is touted by the developers as The one and only, complete & free Bluetooth® solution for Android™. I have to say, though there are other Bluetooth file apps out there, “Bluetooh File Transfer” is hands down the best. The interface is seamless, it is very easy to use, it WORKS, and it is free. Bluetooth File Transfer comes in at #4.

#3. Color Note

After trying over a dozen “Task / ToDo Lists applications, I was ready to give up and revert back to my calander to organize my ToDo and HoneyDo lists. Then I stumbled upon Color Notes. My lucky day! Color Notes is the easiest and best way to organize your tasks. There is a Widget that allows up to 16 post-its on a single Home page on your Android phone. You have a choice of “List” or “Text” style reminders. No more losing the sticky note that you stuck on that file that you left on your desk. Color Notes comes in at #3.

#2. Apps 2 SD

Not much to say here. This app will move any App2SD enabled Android application from your phones internal memory, to your SD card. It will also move apps from your SD card back onto your phones internal memory. The operation of this application couldn’t be made easier. App 2 SD comes in at #2.

#1. Gesture Search by Google

Have you ever just wanted an easy way to find “anything” on your phone quickly. How many times have you waded through contacts, apps, and menu after menu to find the item that you were looking for. Well, the “wading” is over. With gesture search, just start writing what you want right on the screen, an within just a few strokes, you’ll have what you are looking for pop up right under your nose. Truly amazing! Gesture Search comes in at #1.
